Our Story

When Joanne Roth's daughter Pam got engaged in 2016, she was thrilled to watch her first-born plan her wedding. But when the two went bridal gown shopping and found very few dresses in Pam's size to try on, Joanne's heart ached. She hated watching her daughter feel uncomfortable in cramped changing rooms not designed with women of all sizes in mind.

The experience was disappointing, but Joanne felt deeply that it didn't have to be. She knew gorgeous, fashion-forward dresses existed in plus sizes, so why weren't they stocked in local stores? And why on earth were the fitting rooms so narrow?

It may have been discouraging but the experience sparked an idea.

Joanne didn't want any other women to have their excitement and joy tempered while planning the most important day of their lives. She immediately jumped into action, planning Winnipeg's first ever plus-sized bridal boutique.  

With  chic decor in mind, Joanne planned for oversized fitting rooms, comfortable chairs, cushy floors, flattering lighting and most importantly, a great collection of dresses up to size 32, on site, for brides to try on. 

Never again would a woman have to feel intimidated in a bridal shop that didn't cater to her needs. Joanne was resolute that, regardless of her size, every woman should be made to feel stunning in her wedding dress and be able to thoroughly enjoy shopping for it!
